2 hurt after Volkswagen rear-ends Mercury in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Both drivers involved in a two-vehicle collision on I-69E earlier this month sustained injuries as a result.

The accident, which took place on March 11th, occurred at about 11:28 a.m. just south of Ruben M. Torres Boulevard.

Responding officers say the 45-year-old man behind the wheel of a 2014 Volkswagen was speeding when his vehicle crashed into the rear of a 2007 Mercury.

The man responsible for Thursday’s Brownsville rear-end car accident sustained serious injuries while the 64-year-old woman in the Mercury sustained minor injuries as a result.
