BROWNSVILLE, TX – Two people were injured as the result of a hit-and-run accident in northeast Brownsville last Friday morning.
The accident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. within the 2000 block of Cleveland Street near the intersection with East 21st Street.
Investigators believe the driver of an unknown vehicle ran through the stop sign at the intersection and struck a 2014 Honda head-on.
The driver responsible for the crash left the scene before authorities arrived. Both 19-year-old occupants in the Honda sustained unknown injuries in the crash.
