Car fire leads to propane tank explosions in Leon Valley

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire that resulted in several propane tank explosions in Leon Valley Wednesday morning.

According to NBC DFW, the driver was commuting to work when he noticed smoke coming from his vehicle. Moments after he pulled over, the vehicle became engulfed in flames.

As firefighters began to put out the flames, they heard several explosions coming from inside the car. At this time, the driver informed them that there were propane cannisters in the vehicle.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire and ensuing explosions.
