WESLACO, TX – A distracted driver may be to blame for an injury crash in Weslaco last week.
The accident took place on June 4th at about 11:33 p.m. within the 400 block of North Westgate Drive, near the intersection with Panther Drive.
Investigators with the Weslaco Police Department say the 19-year-old driver of a 2008 Nissan was looking at his phone when his vehicle rear-ended a 2021 Chevrolet.
The man in the at-fault vehicle was unhurt. However, the driver of the Chevrolet, a 21-year-old man, suffered unknown injuries.
It is unclear if any charges have been filed in connection to last Friday’s Weslaco car accident.
