1 injured after teen driver plows into restaurant on Central Blvd

BROWNSVILLE, TX – An employee at Toddle Inn Restaurant suffered minor injuries after a teen drove into the building on Saturday, KGRV reports.

Robert Urista, 19, crashed into the restaurant located at 1740 Central Blvd around 8 a.m.

The female employee who was hurt in the incident was treated and released from the hospital.

Following the collision, Urista and his 16-year-old passenger left the area on foot. They were eventually located and apprehended by law enforcement. Both teens were charged with evading arrest and possession of marijuana. Urista is also facing charges of accident involving injury and damage to a fixed object.

Toddler Inn Restaurant has closed until further notice.
