115 pounds of marijuana confiscated following police chase

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Bee County police confiscated 115 pounds of marijuana following a car chase through Skidmore, reports KIIITV.

The chase took place yesterday around 7:30 a.m. when police tried to stop a white pickup truck for a traffic violation. The truck then fled, leading police on a chase through the town.

The driver crashed through a fence and went through thick vegetation. The driver left the vehicle and the police lost the suspect as they fled on foot.

Tracking dogs were used to attempt to find the suspect but the driver could not be located.

The abandoned truck’s bed was filled with marijuana that the police confiscated.
