19-year-old injured in suspected Robstown DUI crash

ROBSTOWN, TX – A 19-year-old man was injured as the result of a single-vehicle DUI collision in Robstown early Sunday morning.

The collision occurred shortly before 1:30 a.m. on East Avenue A just west of I-69E. Officials with the Robstown Police Department said the 19-year-old man behind the wheel of a 2002 Saturn was traveling at a high rate of speed after he had been drinking and collided with a fixed object.

Officials at the scene say the man sustained potentially serious injuries as a result of the collision. Details regarding his condition or if any other injuries were sustained as a result of the crash have not yet been made available to the public.
