2 dead following wrong-way collision on Crosstown Expy

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Two people lost their lives in a wrong-way crash in the 4500 block of Crosstown Expy Friday morning, according to Corpus Christi Cronica.

The driver of a Mercury Mountaineer was driving south in the northbound lanes of Crosstown Expy when he collided with the driver of an SUV around 2:21 a.m. The impact caused the driver of the Mountaineer to be ejected from the vehicle.

First responders pronounced two people dead at the scene of the accident.

Authorities have not released the names of the deceased.
