2 injured when driver slams into Corpus Christi butcher

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Two people were injured Sunday morning when a vehicle collided with a butcher shop in southeastern Corpus Christi, KRIS reports.

The incident happened just before 10 a.m. at Staples St. Meat Market, located at 7626 S. Staples Street. Police say an elderly patron had arrived at the location and was attempting to park but instead hit the accelerator and slammed into the building.

Two customers, including a pregnant woman, were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
