2-vehicle collision reported on SH-4

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Officials with the Brownsville Police Department responded to a two-vehicle collision on State Highway four late Tuesday morning.

The collision was reported shortly after 10 a.m. near the intersection with Hayes Street just east of I-69E.

Officials at the scene say the 39-year-old man driving a 1992 Jeep backed out of a stopped position at a time when it was unsafe to do so and was struck by a Dodge Ram.

No injuries were reported from the scene of the crash.
