2 women injured following rear-end collision in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Police in Brownsville have reported at least two injuries resulting from a rear-end collision along Ruben M. Torres Boulevard Saturday evening.

The incident occurred at about 7:40 p.m. just east of the intersection with Ruben M. Torres Blvd. and Parades Line Road.

Police say the 18-year-old male driver of a 2008 Toyota followed a 2011 Nissan too closely and ended up crashing into the rear of the Nissan.

Two women in the Nissan, the 50-year-old driver and a 28-year-old passenger riding in the back were reportedly injured as a result of the crash. The severity of their injuries remains unclear at this time.
