24-year-old injured in suspected Brownsville DWI crash

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Investigators with the Brownsville Police Department have reported an injury resulting from a single-vehicle DUI crash on Ruben M. Torres Boulevard Friday evening.

The accident was reported shortly before 7 p.m. within the 6000 block of Ruben M. Torres Boulevard near State Highway 48.

Police say the 24-year-old male driver of a 2002 Jeep was under the influence of alcohol when he crashed his vehicle into a fixed object along the roadway. He was injured as a result of the crash. However, the extent of his injuries has not yet been made available.
