3 injured after Chrysler sideswipes Honda in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Officers with the Brownsville Police Department reported several injuries resulting from a multi-vehicle crash north of downtown last Monday morning.

The accident was reported at about 7:24 a.m. within the 2300 block of Old Port Isabell Road just south of the intersection with Ruben M. Torres Boulevard.

Responding officers say the 73-year-old male driver of a 2009 Chrysler failed to yield the right of way and sideswiped a 2019 Honda. The force of the initial impact pushed the Honda into a fixed object in the roadway.

Both occupants in the Chrysler, including a 60-year-old female, along with the 57-year-old female driver in the Honda sustained unknown injuries as a result.
