4-vehicle rear-end collision reported on S. Staples St.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Police in Corpus Christi have reported at least one injury resulting from a rear-end collision involving several vehicles on South Staples Street Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred within the 4100 block of S. Staples Street near the intersection with Gollihar Road at about 3:30 p.m.

Investigators believe the 54-year-old woman behind the wheel of a 2015 Chevrolet failed to control her speed and collided with the rear of a 2016 Chrysler, forcing it into two other vehicles.

The driver responsible was reported injured following the crash. However, her identity and condition remain unknown at this time.
