Distracted driver causes collision on Marbach Rd.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Officials with the Corpus Christi Police Department responded to a multi-vehicle collision caused by a suspected distracted driver last Thursday evening.

The accident occurred at about 5:42 p.m. near the intersection of State Route 16 and Marbach Road.

Investigators at the scene of the crash say the 21-year-old man driving a 2000 GMC failed to pay attention to approaching traffic and side-swiped a 2018 Toyota while traveling through the intersection.

Neither driver was injured as a result of the collision.
