Driver causes dangerous crash during police chase

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — A driver caused damage to another vehicles during a police chase on Sunday.

The accident occurred around 3 in the morning near the intersection of Ayers Street and South Alameda Street. According to police the driver of a black 2015 Ford tried to escape police for currently unknown reasons. The pursuit caused the driver to speed and eventually lose control of his vehicle. He then collided with another vehicle. Police report that weather was clear at the time of the accident.

No injuries were reported as a result of the crash however the airbags in the black Ford were deployed. The other vehicle, a white 2004 Ford, received damage to the front end.
