High-speed rear-end collision reported on Ayers St.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Police responded to a two-vehicle collision south of downtown Monday afternoon.

This Corpus Christi car accident occurred within the 4000 block of Ayers Street near the intersection with Pearse Drive shortly after 2 p.m.

Police believe the 19-year-old male driver of a 2012 Ford was traveling at a high rate of speed when he collided with the rear of a 2017 Chevrolet.

Neither the man responsible for the rear-end collision nor the occupants in the Chevrolet, ages 89 and 90, were injured as a result of the crash.
