Man killed following suspected racing-related accident on Shoreline Blvd.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – A 21-year-old man was killed after a suspected street racing accident in Corpus Christi on Monday.

According to KIII, the accident took place along Shoreline Road near the intersection with Peoples Street.

Police say the driver of the man behind the wheel of the at-fault vehicle was speeding when he ran through the stop sign and struck another vehicle turning off of People’s St.

Both the driver and passenger in the speeding vehicle were rushed to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the driver was pronounced dead a short time later. The passenger was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Both occupants in the second vehicle were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
