Multiple injuries reported following T-bone crash in downtown Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, TX – At least two people were injured as the result of a multi-vehicle collision near I-69E last Tuesday night.

The accident occurred within the 1700 block of East 13th Street at the intersection with Ringgold Street shortly after 8 p.m.

Investigators say the 38-year-old male driver of a 2008 Nissan ran through a red light at the intersection and struck the driver’s side of a 2020 GMC.

The unidentified man responsible for the crash was uninjured as a result. However, both occupants in the GMC, a 26-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman sustained minor injuries.
