BROWNSVILLE, TX – Officials with the Brownsville Police Department responded to a collision between two semi-trucks near SH-550 last Friday.
The collision occurred on Farm to Market Road 511 near the SH-550 on-ramp shortly after 11 a.m. Officials at the scene say the 28-year-old man behind the wheel of a 2009 Kenworth truck failed to control his speed and collided with the driver’s side rear of a 1998 Freightliner.
Details regarding the cause of the circumstances leading up to the crash have not yet been released. Neither driver was injured in the collision. However, the Kenworth sustained significant damage to the front end.
