Pedestrian killed by semi-trailer in Corpus Christi truck accident

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX ā€” A semi-trailer struck a pedestrian in Corpus Christi on Tuesday, killing him.

According to 3News, the accident took place early in the morning a few miles past the intersection of U.S. 77 and Old Refugio Road. The driver of the 18-wheeler did not see the pedestrian, Rayhaan Traboulay, from his cabin. Sources say Traboulay ran out of gas earlier that morning and waited on the side of the road for assistance. The semi then proceeded to hit Traboulay. The impact killed him.

Police pronounced Traboulay dead at the scene of the accident. DPS Troopers are reportedly taking a deeper look into the incident.

Our thoughts are with the loved ones of Rayhaan Traboulay at this time.
