Police Find Bicyclist At-Fault for Accident

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – A truck hit a 15-year-old boy on a bicycle at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 27. According to KRIS 6 News, the accident occurred near Ayers Street and Sunnybrook Road. The bicyclist was crossing Ayers St. when he was struck by the truck.

Police report that the teenager sustained injuries in the crash, but none that were considered life-threatening. Their investigation determined that the underage bicyclist was at-fault for the accident, as he crossed the road from a driveway, rather than a crosswalk. The Corpus Christi Police Department does not intend to charge the truck driver for the accident.
