Rear-end collision reported on Corpus Christi south side

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Officials with the Corpus Christi Police Department responded to a rear-end collision south of downtown Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Saratoga Boulevard and South Staples Street at about 3 p.m. Police at the scene say the 39-year-old female driver of a 2013 Nissan failed to control her speed while approaching the intersection and collided with the rear of a 2007 Toyota driven by a 67-year-old man.

Neither driver was injured as an immediate result of the crash.
