Rear-end collision reported on South Staples St.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Officials with the Corpus Christi Police Department responded to a rear-end collision near State Highway 358 last Wednesday evening.

The collision was reported just before 7:30 p.m. within the intersection of South Staples Street and Williams Drive just east of SH-358.

Police say the 23-year-old male driver of a 2014 Volkswagen was traveling at an unsafe speed when he collided with the rear of a 2002 Nissan driven by a 43-year-old man.

Luckily, neither driver was reported injured as an immediate result of the crash.
