18-year-old driver causes chain-reaction crash in Alamo

ALAMO, TX – Three vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction crash caused by a speeding driver near downtown Alamo in early March.

The March 11th crash occurred at about 5:42 p.m. on US-83 near the intersection with South 7th Street.

Police say the 18-year-old man behind the wheel of a 2005 Ford was traveling at a high rate of speed when he collided with the rear passenger’s side of a 2010 Nissan.

The initial collision pushed the Nissan into the rear passenger’s side of a 2010 Dodge.

No injuries were reported as a result of Thursday’s McAllen car accident. However, all three vehicles sustained significant damage and were towed from the scene.
