2 killed, including child, in Harlingen crash

HARLINGEN, TX – Two people, including a 10-year-old child, were killed as the result of a T-bone collision in Harlingen early Sunday morning.

According to KRGV, the accident took place shortly after midnight at the intersection of East Harrison Avenue and 6th Street.

Investigators say a 2003 Chevrolet was traveling west through the intersection when it collided with a southbound Buick carrying three people.

Two occupants in the Buck, the adult male driver and a 10-year-old passenger sustained fatal injuries in the crash. The driver of the Silverado was hospitalized as a result but has since been released.
