CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Police in Corpus Christi responded to a collision that took the life of a 21-year-old motorcyclist last Friday night.
According to KIII, the accident occurred when the driver of a pickup truck was attempting to turn left onto Sanders Drive and struck the oncoming motorcyclist.
Bystanders told police the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver in the pickup failed to yield the right of way and struck the unidentified male rider.
The motorcyclist was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
The driver in the pickup was unhurt.
