22-year-old man injured after attempting to evade Pharr police

PHARR, TX – A 22-year-old man crashed his vehicle in an attempt to evade police in a Pharr neighborhood last Thursday.

The accident occurred within the 5800 block of South Rivera Street near the intersection with West Villa Street.

Officers attempted to stop the 22-year-old male driver of a 2017 Chevrolet ran through a traffic light when he fled from the scene. Moments later, the man crashed head-on with a fixed object in the residential neighborhood.

The driver sustained unknown injruies in the crash. It is unclear what charges he may be facing at this time.
