6-year-old child injured in Pharr pedestrian accident

PHARR, TX – Police in Pharr responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident that resulted in a 6-year-old boy being sent to the hospital last Tuesday.

The accident was reported at about 4:18 p.m. within the 400 block of West Golden Drive.

Investigators say the unknown female driver of a 2017 Nissan was inattentive to the roadway when she failed to yield the right of way to the pedestrian and struck him.

The boy sustained minor injuries in the collision. No one else was hurt.

It is unclear whether the driver will face charges at this time.
