MISSION, TX – According to Valley Central, a two-car collision ended with the death of at least one person on Trosper Rd and Mile 2 Rd Saturday.
Esteban Cantu Jr. was driving a Ford Explorer with seven passengers when he refused to stop for Border Patrol around 11:50 a.m. w Cantu collided with another vehicle at Trosper Rd and Mile 2 Rd while attempting to evade arrest.
Details are not available concerning which vehicle the deceased person occupied at the time of the collision. The condition of the others involved in the incident is also unknown.
Police have charged Cantu with human smuggling and evading arrest with a motor vehicle.
