Edinburg ISD school bus involved in 4-vehicle collision

EDINBURG, TX – Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety were called to the scene of a four-vehicle crash involving a school bus in Edinburg Wednesday morning.

According to Valley Central, the accident occurred in rural Edinburg along US-281 near the intersection with Laguna Seca Road.

Investigators believe the driver of a Nissan Rogue was speeding when they collided with the rear of a second vehicle, causing a chain reaction that involved a total of four vehicles, including a school bus.

One of the drivers involved was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. Fortunately, only one child was on the bus at the time of the crash and was unhurt.
