Multiple injuries reported in collision near McAllen Memorial Stadium

MCALLEN, TX – Officials with the McAllen Police Department have reported at least two injuries resulting from a collision near downtown last Tuesday.

The collision was reported at about 11:16 a.m. near the intersection of Northwest 23rd Street and Pecan Boulevard.

Investigators at the scene say the 56-year-old female driver of a 2016 Nissan failed to yield to a red light and collided with the front of a 2016 Ford within the intersection.

Both the driver of the Nissan and the 39-year-old woman behind the wheel of the Ford were injured in the crash. The 18-year-old passenger in the Nissan was uninjured.
