MCALLEN, TX – An off-duty member of the Louisiana National Guard was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident in McAllen on Saturday, Valley Central reports.
The victim was struck by two vehicles near West Frontage Road around 3:30 a.m. Police have identified two vehicles that were involved and are continuing to investigate.
The 25-year-old victim had been assigned to Texas to aid in border security and was a member of the Louisiana Army National Guard’s 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
