Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run accident; DPS seeks information

EDINBURGH, TX – According to KRGV, a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Saturday night, and DPS is seeking information.

DPS says the accident happened on Brush Line Road and Farm-to-Market Road 2812 around 10:17 p.m. Authorities say a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross FM 2812.

The driver immediately left the scene of the crash.

The pedestrian was taken to McAllen Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.

Investigators are looking for a black/gray Chevrolet Cobalt, last seen driving east on FM 2812.

Anyone with information about the crash is encouraged to call the DPS office at 565-7600.
