Police respond to rear-end collision in McAllen’s Central District

MCALLEN, TX – Officers reported a rear-end collision along a busy road just south of the De Palmas Historic District on Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred shortly before 7:30 on U.S. Business 83 near the intersection with 15th Street, near the McAllen Historic Business Redevelopment.

Police believe the 31-year-old male driver of a 2005 Chevrolet was traveling at a high rate of speed when he collided with the rear of a 1998 GMC.

Fortunately, neither the driver responsible for his crash nor the two occupants in the GMC were injured as a result of Tuesday’s McAllen car accident.
