Police search for hit-and-run driver following crash on US 281

EDINBURG, TX – According to Valley Central, a driver left the scene of an accident on US 281 Wednesday.

The driver of a Ford Explorer was changing lanes when it struck a white pickup truck that was hauling a black trailer. The collision sent the Ford into a concrete barrier before rolling over on its side and ejecting the female driver. The victim was not wearing a seatbelt.

First responders were dispatched to the wreck around 6 a.m. They transported the victim to an area hospital.

Police are urging anyone with information concerning the incident to contact them immediately.

It is unclear precisely where on US 281 the wreck happened.
