ALTON, TX – Police have charged a man in connection with a fatal crash that claimed the lives of two people on 5 Mile Rd and Stewart Blvd on March 11th, according to Valley Central.
Daniel Sustaita, 41, rear-ended a vehicle occupied by Christopher Moses Garcia, 21, and Karen Espino, 21, while they were stopped at a red light.
First responders transported Sustaita to an area hospital with “incapacitating injuries.” Officers arrested Sustaita once he was released from the hospital and charged him with intoxication manslaughter and possession of a controlled substance.
Sustaita is being held on a $2 million bond for the intoxication manslaughter charge.
