Victim of fatal pedestrian crash in Edinburg identified

EDINBURG, TX – Law enforcement has identified the victim of a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred in Edinburg last week, KRGV reports.

The incident happened shortly after midnight last Monday. 54-year-old Francis Camarillo was crossing the street when she was struck by the northbound Ford Explorer.

At the time, Camarillo was crossing Alamo Road, near Davis Road in Edinburg.

Camarillo suffered major injuries and died on the scene. The driver was uninjured.
