1 dead, three hospitalized following East San Antonio crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man died and three others, including a small child, were taken to San Antonio hospitals following a Wednesday night crash.

According to KSAT, the March 31st collision took place sometime before 10 p.m. within the 2600 block of Rigsby Avenue just outside of Covington Park.

Officers with the San Antonio Police Department say an 80-year-old man was attempting to turn out of a side street when he was T-boned by an oncoming sedan.

The man in the first vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Of the four occupants in the sedan, three were hospitalized, including a 2-year-old in critical condition.

The identities of those involved are being withheld pending further investigation into the fatal east San Antonio car accident.
