1-year-old injured after suspected DWI crash in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A small child was injured as the result of a suspected DWI crash in San Antonio last week.

The March 11th collision took place at about 7:44 p.m. within the 2500 block of South Zarzamora Street just north of US Highway 90.

Police say the 34-year-old male driver of a 2003 Chevrolet was under the influence and driving at a high rate of speed when his vehicle collided with the rear of a 2018 Mazda.

Both drivers involved in the crash were uninjured. However, the 1-year-old child in the back seat of the Mazda sustained minor injuries.

It is unclear if the driver responsible will face any charges at this time.
