10-year-old victim identified in fatal bicycle accident in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to KSAT, the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the identity of the 10-year-old girl who was struck and killed by a car while riding her bike to school yesterday morning.

The accident happened at 7:30 a.m. on Ranch View East and Remrock Valley near Culebra Road. The victim, Irie Suarez, was riding her bike to school at Kallison Elementary in the North Side Independent School District, where she was in the fifth grade, according to reports. Authorities say the child fell from her bike into the path of an oncoming sport-utility vehicle.
