18-wheeler crash spills soda can tops on highway

SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to KSAT12, an 18-wheeler crash last night on I-35 spilled thousands of soda can tops on the highway.

The crash took place around 11 p.m. last night in the northbound lanes of I-35 between Kinney Road and Shepherd Road. The truck blew out a tire, causing it to hit a guard rail, and roll off a bridge into a dried-up creek.

Thousands of aluminum can tops were scattered in the southbound lanes and the roadway was closed for several hours for clean up.

The truck’s driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injures.
