20-year-old man hospitalized after west San Antonio pedestrian accident

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a sedan while walking along a busy west San Antonio street early Friday morning.

According to KSAT, the 20-year-old man was struck at about 1:45 a.m. while walking in the lanes of travel on Ingram Road, near Warpath Street.

Officers with SAPD say the unidentified man refused to get out of the roadway before the accident occurred. It is unclear why he was walking in the lanes of travel at this time.

He was taken to University Hospital to be treated for serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. He has since been listed in stable condition.
