SAN ANTONIO, TX – Three people sustained injuries resulting from a collision involving a motorcycle and two other vehicles on I-35 Friday morning.
According to KSAT, the accident took place at about 2:15 p.m. between Starlight Terrace and Weidner Road.
Officers with the San Antonio Police Department say the motorcycle carrying two people was rear-ended by another vehicle. A driver who witnessed the accident attempted to assist the motorcyclists when they veered into a Mazda, causing both vehicles to careen off the roadway.
The Mazda rolled over into the access road near the freeway. Both riders on the motorcycle and the driver in the Mazda were transported to Brooke Army Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The driver that caused the initial crash fled the scene before authorities arrived.
