37-year-old man hospitalized after single-vehicle crash in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – One man was rushed to the hospital following a single-vehicle crash south of downtown Monday night.

According to KSAT, the San Antonio car accident occurred at about 8:40 p.m. within the 12300 block of Southwest Loop 410 near Somerset Road.

Police say the unidentified 37-year-old male driver was traveling east on Loop 410 when he lost control of his vehicle and swerved across all lanes of traffic and struck a guardrail. The vehicle then went over the guardrail and crashed into some trees before coming to rest in an embankment.

The man was transported to Brooke Army Medical Center to be treated for serious, potentially life-threatening injuries sustained in the wreck.
