PANOLA COUNTY, TX – A fatal crash between a Mercedes-Benz and a tow truck took the lives of four people on Tx 315 Wednesday, KRGV reports.
Jonathan Estrada, 27, was driving the Mercedes-Benz at excessive speeds on northbound Tx 315 when the vehicle hydroplaned into southbound lanes and collided head-on with a tow truck.
First responders pronounced Estrada and three of his passengers, Jackqueline Martinez, a 9-year-old child, and a 4-year-old child dead at the scene of the accident around 10:20 a.m. They transported a 9-year-l.d to an area hospital in critical condition.
The two occupants of the tow truck, a driver and passenger, were treated and released at a local hospital.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident.
