4 die following wrong-way crash on U.S. 281

HAMILTON COUNTY, TX – Fox 44 reports four people died in a head-on collision on U.S. 281 near Hamilton Thursday.

Navor Rojas-Resendez, 45, was driving a Ford F 150 south on U.S. 281 when he strayed into the northbound lane and hit a semi-truck head-on. The collision caused the F 150 to become engulfed in flames.

First responders pronounced Rojas-Resendez and his passenger, Paula Marie Rojas, as well as two children dead at the scene of the accident. The semi-truck driver suffered minor injuries in the incident.

The incident is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
