51-year-old woman killed in southeast San Antonio collision

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A woman was killed after a single-vehicle collision southeast of downtown San Antonio Saturday morning.

According to KSAT, the accident took place at about 9:43 a.m. within the southbound lanes of I-37 near the exit to Hot Wells Boulevard.

Investigators believe the unidentified 51-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle and skidded off the right side of the roadway. She then returned to the highway and crossed all three lanes before colliding with a concrete barrier.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries a short time later.
