68-year-old man killed in west San Antonio pedestrian accident

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A 68-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle on San Antonio’s west side over the weekend.

According to the San Antonio Express-News, the collision, which took place on March 20th, occurred at about 10:21 p.m. along Enrique M. Barrera Parkway near the Southwest 34th Street intersection.

The driver involved told police she was unable to avoid hitting the man as he was crossing outside of a designated crosswalk at the time of the crash.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear if the driver will face any charges in connection to the fatal crash.
