SAN ANTONIO, TX – A woman was taken to the hospital after her vehicle careened off of a San Antonio freeway early Tuesday morning.
According to KSAT, the accident took place at about 5 a.m. as the unidentified driver was traveling west on Loop 1604 near Stone Oak Parkway.
Responding officers say the woman fell asleep behind the wheel as her vehicle left the roadway and crashed down onto the street below the overpass.
The extent of the driver’s injuries remains unclear at this time.
